Thanksgiving

Ok, now for our Thanksgiving trip to Washington.

During our trip, we took the ferry over to Seattle. It was my first time on a ship that big; it was a fun experience. It was a little cold, but it offered some great views coming into Seattle.
Seagulls followed us for part of the trip; made walking on the deck a little more hazardous.
Jodie and her Mom on the deck with the Seattle skyline behind them.

Same thing but with Jodie and I; you can also see the Space Needle if you look carefully.

The ferry takes about a half an hour, so there was even time to take a nap.

Jodie and I with Mt. Rainier in the background. It was cool how big the mountain was- when we flew into Seattle, you could see it sticking up above the clouds from a long ways away.

We went to the Seattle Aquarium once we got to the city. I'm not exactly sure what kind creature Jodie is supposed to be, she thinks it's some sort of eel. Regardless, I still caught her scuba diving.

Jodie getting a little friendly with a "very sexy, giant octopus" at the aquarium.

This time getting friendly with a "really ugly looking dude." (it was a wolf eel)

Practicing getting into our scuba suits. Little did we know that it would come in handy a few weeks later in the Dominican Republic; although they fit a lot better in the DR since they weren't kid-sized.

The next day we went to Poulsbo and got some chocolate covered blueberries in the old shops by the pier. They were amazingly delicious. We walked around the boardwalk and took a picture at sunset.

It was a very fun trip and we want to thank Jodie's parents for all that they did to make it enjoyable. Were looking forward to coming again soon.

Also, on a side note, I still have yet to see it rain in Washington. Its always been beautiful sunny days while I've visited. I don't expect it to last much longer, but it has been nice.

Halloween

Ok, we've been saving up some pictures to put on our blog; so now we go back in time...

...to Halloween!

So for Halloween, we went over to Heather and Justin's house to carve Jack-o-Lanterns.

We tried to make ours look like a monster; but it reminded us more of Stitch from Lilo and Stitch. So, we gave him the name Stitch. It's kind of hard to see from the pictures though.

Although you can't see it on their pumpkin, they had a lot of detail. It turned out really cool. Stitch was a lot simpler and we finished pretty early.

Stitch finally completed and glowing.

It's Official!

Well everyone, it's official; Jodie and I are engaged. It's kind of an interesting, new feeling, but both of us are really excited. Well, we decided to finally get our blog up and running so that you could see pictures of everything that's been going on for the past little bit. So, to start off, here's some picture of it.

Here's the ring before I gave it to Jodie.

So, to ask her, I had 11 flowers delivered to her at work. Then to find the last flower, she had to go on a treasure hunt that ended at the security booth of the Provo Temple. When we were in the Dominican Republic, the missionaries had a treasure hunt that also ended at the security booth of the temple. After she found her flower, I proposed nearby and she said "yes." : )

It was kind of cold outside; it was lightly snowing. But here we are together after it.

Here are the roses that I gave her and the one that she had to find.

Here's the ring now on Jodie's finger. Its kind of hard to see it clearly, but it has five diamonds on it. 1 main center diamond, then two smaller ones on each side. The diamonds get progressively smaller as it goes outward. Its definitely a lot prettier in person than the pictures depict, so, hopefully you all get to see it soon.
